Mr Mitchell Smidt
Science is integral to our lives and is an ever increasing field in today’s society. Students develop a sense of wonder and expand their natural curiosity about the world around them through their understanding, interest in and enthusiasm for science. They need to be equipped with the skills necessary to make decisions based on valid and reliable sources. In our ever-changing world the role of Science and Technology, delivered in our school through the NSW Board of Studies Syllabuses Science (7 – 10) and Biology, Chemistry Physics and Senior Science (Year 11 -12), are of utmost importance. The Science curriculum is based on an inquiry model and involves students and teachers planning, performing and evaluating solutions to the big questions that effect our world.
The embedding of Core Catholic Principles and Values is explicit in the Science learning and teaching activities, as it is in all other KLAs.
