O’Connor Catholic College is founded on faith and focussed on learning. Our vision is a faith filled community working collaboratively to enhance the learning for all, resulting in students who are creative, confident and informed people ready to make a real difference in our world. We believe that everyone can learn, not at the same time or in the same way and we create learning opportunities for everyone. At O’Connor, learning encompasses our faith learning so integral to our mission as a Catholic school, academic learning so that every student achieves the best learning outcomes and wellbeing and resilience skills so important for a healthy, balanced life.
Our leadership team is organised around the three pillars of learning - faith, academic and wellbeing. The leadership team has a wealth of experience in a range of educational areas - Ms Regina Menz, is our Principal, Mr Simon Fleming is our Assistant Principal and Curriculum Coordinator, Mr Damian Roff is our Religious Education Coordinator, Mrs Alicia Pringle is our Leader of Pedagogy, Mr Jon Hawthorne is our Pastoral Academic Care Coordinator, Mr Ross Conlon is our Pastoral Welfare Coordinator. Mrs Melissa Bell is our Student Support Coordinator and leads our learning hub.
O'Connor Catholic College is a co-educational high school, from years 7 to 12, and a systemic school in the Diocese of Armidale. It began in 1975 with the amalgamation of two of Armidale's longest established schools - St Ursula's College (est.1882) and De La Salle College (est.1906). The School occupies the site of the former De La Salle College.
